What is the best chair massager out there?? which one do u like/ use and why?
I got one a few yrs back, it was a less expensive one at cvs but it vibrates and has different settings plus heat which i love and use alot for my back (i waslk with a crutch due to knee and back is hurting cause of it) anyways its starting to crap out from over use and wanted to know if any of you used any of the other ones out on market/ the more expensive ‘’shiatsu’ massagers that supposedly feel more like a real massage. I am looking for info on ones you put in chair/recliner like mine but didnt want to spend a hundred or more until I got some feedback.
thanks so much…i really want a deep feeling massage plus if it has heat thatd be a good addition.
The best massage chair out there is the Earthlite Avila 2.
It is pricey, but it had the best rolling case, it can accommodate anyone from 2 feet tall to some 7 Feet tall. It can hold up to 400lbs. Almost every part of the chair is adjustable, the face cradle, chest pad, arm rest. If you are the original owner, the parts have a lifetime warranty, and they will replace any broken part for free for as long as you own the chair. It has more options for adjustability than any other chair.
The Avila 2 gives each client the most comfortable ergonomic position their body can be in for receiving a chair massage.
how long are you supose to be massaged by one of those homedic shiatsu chair massagers?
i love how it feels so i normally let it massage for like an hour is that too long and will it eventually ruin my back???
I own an ijoy chair and the manual says do not use for more than 15 minutes at a time. These chairs give a way more complex massage than the homedic massager. So I don’t know if this will apply. I don’t think it will ruin your back either or there would be a warning on it.
Just had a Shiatsu massage…painful! Is this normal or did the massager go too far?
I had a Shiatsu massage done at the house of the massager. Him and his wife run their business from their home. He was highly recommended by a few friends. One friend said that he was able to fix the pain in her lower back. Another said her mom went there and she no longer has hip pain which she has had for over four years.
When I went, one guy who was waiting for his massage had debilitating pain from a car accident. After years of physical therapy and other forms of treatment, this massagist is helping him out. And after two massages, he is feeling much better.
So I went to see if he could help me with my borderline carpal tunnel and back and shoulder pain along with my anxiety. It was somewhat brutal and painful to the point that I was crying out in pain, which is not me. But I was impressed at how much he was able to tell me about myself without him knowing much. He was able to figure out some of my conditions. There was another guy there that he was massaging before me and I thought that guy was going to pass out. He was crying bloody murder and the massager had no mercy on him (nor on me)!
He applied so much pressure that it was truly painful and sometimes unbearable. Apparently even people from out of state go see him. I hope this works for me! He said that he thinks I need two more visits and I should feel better.
I feel better but my back still hurts. But my legs, which tend to go numb a lot, feel much better, and I am just feeling happier right now. How much is too much?
Also, the funny thing is that this is a Mexican couple (I’m Mexican too so I’m not discriminating or anything) and they do their massages out of their garage and they had chickens and a chihuahua running around.
Plus the waiting area are two couches which are right next to the massage table. So the massager lifted the back of my shirt and everyone in the room, mostly men, saw my bra!! Thought that was weird. And I saw the underwear of the guy before me. But these other people I’ve talked to swear by their treatment. I guess it’s just a matter of addressing that particular concern to the massager. There’s no privacy there. That’s the part I found odd. The couple was a bit odd, too. But they seemed to know a lot.
Thanks for your input! ![]()
IDK……… if you think it works go for it after your other two visits and who cares about animals running around or if someone sees your bra, it’s not like your going to a Chiropractor in a office. Whatever works for you and if you feel better then so be it at least they are not asking you to get naked in front of people. Mexicans have thier beliefs and some types of spirits to make things work when necessary. So good luck and I hope u continue to feel better.

homedics shiatsu back massager the $ 100 one?
does any one have this or have tried this out? is it great?is it worth the money? good gift?
We have one, have had for 2 years and love it. It is definitely worth the money. When you feel really sore, or tired muscles, you can sit on it and feel much better in the 15 min it takes. My mother in law, who has had a spinal fracture, could not do
without it. We gave her one for Christmas 2 yrs ago, also. My husband, who does physically stressful work, sits on it every evening. If this one ever quits, we will definitely buy another one. My daughter also has one and uses hers a lot, so does her husband who has severe back problems. I would say good gift, esp for someone who is older, or someone who does a lot of hard physical work.

Has anyone tried the Shiatsu massager pillow with heat? I woke up sore today? Did I use it too long or close?
I think the instructions that came with it say not to fall asleep on it and to use it for a limited amount of time. Did you read the instructions?
