Ok, I asked this in another section, but I’m wondering if anyone here knows if this works on heel spurs, or at least has had SOME improvement with this method.

First, you need to understand similarities and differences between Heel Spurs and Plantar Faciitis. They are a related but different ailment:

I currently am getting over a heel spur right now. What I have been doing has been making sure I have good arch support, using a can to roll the arch of my foot on (back and forth), and patience.

Massage doesn’t really help that much; focus needs to be on getting the arch to be properly aligned. Try to work on that, and unless it worses, it should clear up. If it continues or worsens, do see a professional like a Podiatrist. Try to find a doctor who is less evasive, and doesn’t try to coerce you into surgery right off.

my daughter bought me the one that you fill with warm water and it massages your feet i used it till it broke!

My feet get really cold at work so I want to get something I can stick my feet into that keeps them warm. I’ve seen some foot warmers on Ebay that plug into a USB from but only from China and I wonder if I can get that in a store. The only thing I’ve seen in Walmart and Kmart are foot massagers but I want something that heats up.

Stores are getting to be a real let-down when you see what you want in their site and can’t walk in and buy it without ordering over the internet first and waiting before you can hold it in your hand. Maybe a sporting goods store would have battery powered socks. First use the internet, then the phone before you start burning any gas. My wife got me a rechargeable battery powered vest, I think it came from Hammacher Schlemmer. I’ve had it for about a year and I’m really happy with it.

I got this foot massager off craigslist and it is about 1 and a half years old. I bought it and everything was ok but then after a while there was a funky rubbery smell and due to my bad luck, they won’t take it back.
I was wondering if anyone could help me get rid of the smell.
I think it might be the friction from the rubber in the massager.
Please help me on getting rid of the smell.

spray the rubber with dry lubricant. or silicone lubricant that will reduce the friction and should rid you of the smell

I am in need of a really good foot massager, since I can’t stand for longer than 10 minutes without my feet killing me. Is it safe to use foot massagers while pregnant?

Dear J: I saw one in WalMart yesterday and I believe the cost was right around $30 or so. Looked like it was a nice one, too.
