My cat massages the pillows?
I have a one year old cat (he is neuetered) and lately I have been noticing he massages my pillows or his pet bed before he lays down. It is the strangest thing! He gets this lustful look in his eyes (they get all half closed and relaxed, its really funny), and then he will take both his front paws and gently massage the pillow he is about to lay one. He does this ever so softly, he looks like a wind up toy, you know, the kind that you wind up and their legs will start moving. It is like he is in love with it lol.
When he does this to his pet bed, he will get in the middle of it (it is round) and take care to massage every inch of the edge of the bed, slowly pivoting around.
Why does he do this? It is SO weird, as if he is caressing it.
It’s a behavior that a lot of cats do called "kneading". When kittens are young, they knead their mothers (in the same way your cat kneads the pillow) to get more milk to come out. He is probably just very comfortable and reminded of that time when he was with his mother, so he starts to knead again because he’s remembering that time.
I was in a hamam on Saturday evening, I had an intense massage with oil and stuff but yesterday evening ……?
..my neck started to be a bit stiff and heart a little , today i have a pain in the neck and its kinda stiff, not something extreme but whenever i move my neck it hurts (not extremely but it does). I also spend 10 hrs day/ in front of the pc (i work in an office). do you think the neck pain has anything to do with the massage ??? i didnt have a massage for ages lol. Also the last three nights i slept in a hotel cause i was abroad for work and the pillow was terrible, i dont know maybe it was from the pillow ?? thanks !@
You Kind of answered it for yourself.
There are a few Possibilities it may be.
Should I get a massage?
I’m 17-years-old and extremely stressed. There’s alot of problems in my family (to name just one: my dad is abusive) and I’m also stressed from school (getting good grades at a UC). So my mental health is basically blah and on top of that I have physical problems:
I’m on my cycle now and the cramps are BAD. Today I was escorted to the emergency room because my menstrual blood stopped flowing and I almost passed out. The pain was excruciating And now I’m extremely weak, especially my lower abdomen and my lower back is killing me (b/c of my period probably). Plus I still have cramps now.
And for years I have had recurring back aches because of my pillow/bed. I change my pillow once in a while but the back pains still come once in a while.
My mom is not talking to me so I can’t go to her. I pretty much have to find solutions on my own. I think the best thing for me now is to get a back massage to relax and deal w/ the aches
What do you have to loose? The back massage will either work, or it will not, but you will not know unless you have one. Best of Luck
Why do cats do that massage to like the bed or pillow thing with their paws?
Serious answers only please i’m just curious, Thanks!
it’s called kneading:
Kittens do that on their moms belly to increase the milk flow while nursing.
And while nursing on their mommy the kittens feel secure and they are calm.
Some cats keep this behaviour for their entire life.
It’s either a sign that they feel secure or they use this behaviour to calm themselves down if they are scared, upset, sick or feel uncomfortable in any way.
This behaviour is most common – at least in my experience – in cats who had a difficult time as kitten.
Either because they lost their mommy way to early or were severe sick.
Some other cats restart this behaviour when they feel insecure within their new home and/or if they experienced a bad injury, disease or abuse by humans.
Infant massage… your thoughts?
I’m taking my 6.5 month old daughter to an infant massage class tonight. When I registered for the class the lady gave me a quizical look when I told her my daughter’s age. Do you think she is too old to be massaged?
I guess she might get annoyed at the class. Laying on her tummy will make her want to crawl off and grab things…
Your thoughts? Tips? Is she too old? I think she will enjoy it and relax. I’m going to bring my bed pillow for her to lay on. I think my scent will help her relax and hold still.
I have started massaging my baby on my own – without any class or anything. I made it part of her bedtime "routine", though I don’t know how good I am at it. I guess the infant massage class is more for younger babies? Ehhh…who cares. You’ll learn some new techniques and things that you can do to help soothe your daughter maybe. I think you’re fine.
What is the best pregnancy body pillow?
I was looking at the Snoogle All Nighter Total Body Pregnancy Pillow by Leachco…Has anyone ever used it? Or used a Snoogle pregnancy pillow? (if you have please be specific as to which one) I have HORRIBLE hip and back pain (left side only) to the point where I can’t bend even a little nor sit or lay..never mind sleep. I am going to be setting up a massage appointment but I need advice on which pillow to get (not just a regular body pillow)
Thanks!!
Which snoogle is it? The All Nighter Total Body Pregnancy Pillow or just the Total Body pillow?
I used the snoogle total body pillow and LOVED it!! I even used it for a little while after my son was born.
One thing I would recommend is to get a cover for it. Mine got a little "pilled" from sleeping on it so much. Also, it got a little bit flattened.
My husband thought it was a little "anti-social" as you’re pretty wrapped up in it and it leaves little room for snuggling, but at least I was comfortable enough to sleep.
How Do I Get Rid of a Tension Headache?
I need a new pillow– it happens just about every morning when I wake up. From right between my shoulder blades to midway up the back of my neck/head feels so tight. My husband tries to massage out the knots, but then they come back. I’ve tried Bayer Tension Headache Relief as well as ibuprophen, but the headache just comes back. And it seems to be related to my sinuses too. I’m having horrible allergies right now from all this stupid pollen. Other than buying a new pillow, any suggestions?
I wonder if you don’t have sinus headaches, as they feel like tension headaches too. Try a few things. Flip the mattress as it could be getting worn down. Try taking a sinus med. that you spray in your nose (like flonase). If it’s a sinus headache, the pain will start to go away within a day or so. Lastly take a hot bath at night and a hot shower in the morning so the heat can ease away the pain. If this isn’t possible get some of those little heating patches that you can buy. Stick it to the inside of your shirt and let it heat away the pain. Feel better soon.
Should I be worried that I have a black ring on the back of my neck?
My shoulders and neck have been extremely soar for the past few days, so I had my boyfriend try and massage them.
When I lifted up my hair, he noticed my neck looked dirty (we tired washing it off) but it appeared to almost be a bruise.
What could this be?
Should I go to the doctor?
I’m a 19 year old female.
I have a 30 dollar pillow that is extremely comfortable i’ve been using for months so I know thats not the issue.
It sounds like Acanthosis Nigricans.
http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/acanthosis-nigricans-overview
It leaves a black patch of skin behind the neck, and can happen under the arms and inner thighs. Many medical conditions can cause this, so it might not be a bad idea to see your doctor for an exam.
What can I do about my toddler not sleeping?
My two year old is tossing and turning at night. It seems that he is in a great deal of discomfort. He seems to settle when I massage his belly but 15 – 20 minutes later he begins his tossing routine all over again. When he changes his positions it is mostly to go on his belly placing his belly on top of a pillow or anything that is elevated. I have not had a good night’s sleep in over a week. If any of you parents know anything about it then please help!
I would find out why he is having tummy issues.
Cut back foods to easy to digest items, rice, rice milk, and slowly add foods till you find out the issues.
He could be having problems with eggs, wheat, nuts, dairy,
and it could be making him uncomfortable.
Ask your Dr.
Why can I orgasm with a pillow but not by hand. Please please help?
I have never had sex and am 22. I have been masturbating since I was about 11. I have always used a pillow. I straddle it with my legs, lie down, put my hands under the pillow and then push up and massage myself that way. I have amazing multiple orgasms this way.
I just got a boyfriend and he wants me to masturbate in front of him and I know he thinks it’s hot when women pleasure themselves with their hands. I don’t want to tell him I do it face down, with a pillow between my legs. I have tried with my hands many times and I get aroused, but I can’t get very aroused or come.
What is the difference between the pillow and hands and what can I do to make myself come with my hands, so that I can then show my boyfriend?
Have you ever tried to give yourself a G Spot Orgasm?
