How about buying a massage pillow as the gift for my mum’s birthday?
Good gifts for mom including pillows (but those are throw pillows)

I accepted some massage gifts in my time, maybe it’s me but I don’t use them. Ther is always a danger that she won’t like it
Anyone had a massage?
I’m 23 1/2 weeks. and my ob approved.
I went to a certified Massage theripist at the chriopractor yesterday. It was great! She just worked on my back and used those special pillows so my tummy didn’t have any weight on it.
My baby has been so active ever since! ( more than usual) Do you think it’s good for the baby too?
the only bad thing is my round ligament pains have been the worst today!
Massage is SO good for your body to relax and destress, especially when pregnant!
Wait till you’re further along, then you’ll REALLy want one! hehe
I’m sure the touch is good for your baby, especially if you got a full body massage, and also you relaxing helps the baby as well…remember you are sharing the same body right now.
vday gift for HIM, 27 yrs old + no money?
he’s 27 & we’ve been together since may 2008.
here’s the situation:
1. i have a very small budget: $35
2. i have to give him something useful: he is living at his dads place bc hes finishing up grad school. he does not have his own space and cannot really have anything that he will not use because he cannot put keepsakes anywhere! I’ve already made him a tea sampler gift in the past (he loved), I gave him a massage pillow for christmas (that he uses all the time) & i’ve gotten him a nice cigar once for a holiday….but my ideas are running low now…he has a bunch of cologne and hate the idea of getting him something like a graphic tee-shirt.
3. we dont have many pictures
4. i love making truffles and baking…but i did that for him last v-day….shouldn’t i give him something else this year??
5. i was thinking of buying him a bottle of wine but since we are already planning on popping a shared bottle of wine on v-day wont it be weird if i then give him one as a gift??
why don’t you try something handmade? Like you can create a greeting card for him from scratch.
Or you can make him a poster or collage or love letter or scrapbook that you made about the two of you.
If you are computer-techy, you can also download custom brushes for photoshop or paint.net (free program like photoshop) and make him a love letter or something.
I hope this is helpful for you. Good luck!
What can I do about helping my infant sleep.?
My two year old is tossing and turning at night. It seems that he is in a great deal of discomfort. He seems to settle when I massage his belly but 15 – 20 minutes later he begins his tossing routine all over again. When he changes his positions it is mostly to go on his belly placing his belly on top of a pillow or anything that is elevated. I have not had a good night’s sleep in over a week. If any of you parents know anything about it then please help!
It looks like he has stomach cramps – Has he been eating anything different lately? Maybe you could change what he eats. Maybe timing of meals is an issue – let him have more time to digest before going to bed?
Your best bet is to see your doctor if the problem persists.
Is it okay for me to wash my hair every day if i massage my scalp with olive oil beforehand?
I am currently washing my hair every other day, but normally during school i wash it everyday because it’s gross just laying in my bed with dirt in my hair.
Also, i use to wash my hair everyday but i noticed that when i washed it every day it would make my scalp itch ALOT and i could see flakes of skin on my pillow. So i started washing my hair every other day because it strips that natural oils or whatever blah blah blah i heard it already if it’s washed every day. And when i wash it every other day, i noticed that my hair itches too because it’s not clean.

So if i want to wash my hair everyday could i massage olive oil on my scalp everyday right before stepping into the shower, or will that still make my scalp itchy like before and still strip the natural oils away?
Also, i hear that if you have verrrryyyyy oily hair your hair will fall out? im not sure, but i am also notciing my hair is falling out, but its not falling out like chunks or like crazy, about 5-7 strands of hair falls out every time i wash my hair, is that natural?
and i also notice that when i get out of the shower, my head still itches, but only sometimes and only for a little bit then it goes away. I don’t have dandruff because i dont see flakes or anything on my hair, and not lice of course, idk what it is, nothing is irritating me, idk why my scalp is itching, but it doesnt itch alll the time! But when it does itch, it itches in the same spot/area.
Switch shampoos and conditoner and its not good for you to wash your hair everyday. You can loose a huge percentage of hair. The best thing i can tell you is to go to a salon expert and ask them what can you do to your hair. Asking won’t hurt. And wash your hair at least every 3 days and if your hair gets itchy swich to head and shoulders or a dandruff shampoo. Good luck with your hair.
how can i ease my Heavy neck pain?
I’m having my neck pain like muscels r holding me so tight above my shoulder. I dont feel fresh n it gives me headache sometimes. I tried massage but it only made it better for a while. I changed my pillow too. Next day it ’s back again. Can this pain ll be cured?
I suffer from neck pain because I sleep on my stomach. If this is the cause of your pain, then you must try and sleep flat on your back.
However, I know this can be hard and then if it gets too bad, I try to stretch my neck out by sleeping in a bed with the feet raised, so that my body is at an angle. It’s not terribly comfortable and I don’t last long, but it does streth it out.
The easy thing to do is to visit a chiropracter or osteopath. I went for a year and it did help, but got more and more expensive. And this is what I do now. It works for me.
Also, take ibufren. If you’re not in pain, you can move your shoulder more easily, which is what you need to do too.
I want to try something new with my wife, so I went to the store and bought her a long, pink, vibrating,?
massage pillow for her to sleep with (for her bad back). I rarely buy her gifts, just flowers, so I thought I’d mix it up a bit. Do you think she’ll like it?
I have been totally offended by your questions up until now. I wouldn’t even read them past the tag line. Curiousity got the best of me and clicked on your question today. After reading your 360 I see what a hoot you are. Thanks for the laughs and for the reminders to laugh each day. People like you are fun. Stay cool!
Fibromyalgia question?
What else can you do if morphine, heat, pain cream & massage wont work? Especially before a storm, I’ve tried Lyraca, it doesn’t work and makes me feel high as a kite, I’ve never felt like that with the morphine and Lyrica is not a narcotic. I’ve been on a heating pad, a massage pillow, massage chair, gone to physical therapy with deep massage and used pain cream. What else is there to help?
Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition characterized by fatigue, widespread pain in muscles, ligaments and tendons, and multiple tender points. And speaking for a fibromyalgia treatment to be truly effective, it is imperative for the patient to take excellent care of themselves on a daily basis. That includes eating a well balanced diet and getting plenty of exercise. Exercise may be difficult and painful at first, but it will get easier and actually help with the symptoms of the disorder like chronic fatigue and pain. The right amount of sleep each night is another non medical habit that can help relieve fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

Teen major upper back problems. Please Help!?
I have had this problem for 2 1/2 weeks. In the upper center of my back, from middle of shoulder blade to middle of shoulder blade, from bottom of neck to center back. When I lay down it just feels sore and tingles a little bit, when I stand it tingles and get slight shooting pains, when walking it shoots harder, when touched almost at all it hurts the most. I tried to use a vibrating massage pillow but it tingles untill the pain gets to hard to handle. I NEED an answer please!
You may need to see a chiropractor or medical doctor because you have strained the triangle of your back…the point is the spine down and the shoulders would be the bottom of the triangle.
Don’t use vibration because the nerves are probably impinged and it’ll just hurt and make you sickly. A muscle relaxant may help.
Anytime you feel numbness or tingling in an extremity it is VITAL that you get to a doctor as soon as you can to have it checked out. If there is an impingement that cuts off the circulation, you can lose the limb, so please get to a doctor.
Please see your doctor for a muscle relaxant like flexerall only by prescription to stop your muscles from squeezing the nerve on your left side.
You can use a combination of non prescribed medication to try and hit the areas that are most annoying; however, 50mg-150mg indomethicin oral or anal works the absolute best for your back.
1. I used to use a combination of medications which included 400mg Ibuprofen 4x a day with food. This takes the swelling and inflammation down. DO NOT exceed1600mg in one day and you may need prilosec for stomach protection as ALL ANTI INFLAMMATORIES are difficult on the stomach. ***You can use Tylenol with Ibuprofen and Aspirin watch for daily maximums & don’t exceed.
2. Robaxacet is Tylenol (acetominophen) combined with methocarbonal (muscle relaxant)…this also comes with codeine on request from the pharmacist. This only relaxes any tight muscles around the pain and helps reduce some pain. You can use Robaxacet with Ibuprofen and Aspirin, BUT NOT Tylenol as it’s already an ingredient in this pill.
3. Robaxacyl is Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) combines with methocarbonal (muscle relaxant)…this has a blood thinning active ingredient and isn’t ideal for anyone under age 16 years or complications with blood pressure, ailments, etc. This both takes down the inflammation as well as treats the pain. You can use Robaxacyl with Ibuprofen and Tylenol, BUT NOT Aspirin as it’s already an ingredient in this pill.

4. Aleve is a Nonsteroidal Anti Inflammatory (Naproxen) which will helps reduce the inflammation, and as the inflammation decreases so does the pain; BUT you CANNOT mix this drug with any of the above mentioned safely.
5. Dynamint has been used on horses legs for years, but it does an amazing job on sore muscles. It’s ingredients are Peppermint Oil, Eucalyptus Oil , Tea Tree Oil and Calendula Oil.
6. Deep Cold Gold is an alternative rub that works very well on tight aching back & low back tendons.

The things on your list will definitely help. Here are some more suggestions that i can give you for clearer healthier skin:
-Consider vitamins A and E. Vitamins A or E along with a few other natural minerals have been proven to strengthen the cells of the skin, thus improving the overall appearance of your skin. However, you should never consume dietary supplements before consulting your doctor, especially if you are taking other medications.
-Ten to 15 minutes of unprotected exposure to sunlight several times a week is essential to the health of your bones and skin. It helps your body absorb calcium, due to the skin’s ability to convert the sun’s rays into vitamin d. Sun exposure helps heal eczema, psoriasis, and acne.
-Exfoliate your skin. It’s important to exfoliate at least twice per week to leave your skin feeling smooth and silky while improving your natural complexion.
-Prevent acne flare-ups with tea tree oil. This herb contains anti-septic and anti-fungal properties that help eliminate acne and prevent infection.
Good luck with getting spotless and healthy looking skin!
