Hi,
I want to order some good and really efficient leg massager… for my feet and calf muscles. Will anybody suggest me the reliable brand ? And where to buy that ? ( I don’t want a massaging chair )

Foot Calf massagers work on the feet, calves and ankles. They are used while sitting down in a chair. There are a few different shapes and styles but the most popular look is the double massager where both your legs are placed into the machine (Boot Style). They completely surround the feet and the back of the legs to half way up the calf. Other styles are described as Ottomans as they look a bit like a footstool and the user rests their feet on or into the machine. For a couple of years now my calve muscles have been hurting whenever I run. All of the muscles in my legs below my knees lock up and feel like too much blood is going in, and not enough is coming out. It almost always gets to the point where it hurts so badly that I need to stop running.

I am always sure to stretch well and warm up by jogging lightly for 5-10 minutes. I also use a muscle roller/massager before I run, yet neither seems to help. The only way to get through the pain is to stop and start again 2-3 times before it is no longer painful. This is frustrating because it can take me over an hour to do 20 minutes of real cardio.

About 2 years ago I did some pretty intense calf workouts about 10 times total that always pumped those muscles a lot. I don’t know if there is any correlation or not, but I’m pretty sure I had this problem at least mildly before these workouts.

Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated

Your blood in general floods your calves while running because of the running muscles and where your take most of your pounding along with quads and hamstrings. If I were you I would transfer my running into a swimming pool and then to land. You may be a pound-er or not knowing aggregate for instance shin splits to your calf muscles. Also gradually increase your distance and take plenty of breaks.

If your doing 1 hour of cardio your doing one hour of cardio even if walking. Learn to walk for instance for an hour before jogging. Also start in the pool or bike ride too then transition to running. Also work on your form to see if you have any movement problems. Good luck!
